Review guidelines
Reviews on iamcasino are read by players deciding where to put real money. These guidelines exist to keep them honest, useful and fair to everyone — reviewers, readers and the casinos being reviewed.
The basic rules
Write about your own experience with the casino, recently, in your own words. That is the whole of it; everything below is detail.
- You must be 18 or older to hold an account or write a review.
- Review only casinos you have actually deposited with or attempted to. Second-hand stories, group-chat screenshots and "I heard" do not qualify.
- The date of experience must be within the last three years and cannot be in the future.
- Rate the casino, not your luck. Losing a session is not a one-star experience; a refused withdrawal is.
- Be specific. "Withdrew RM800 by DuitNow, arrived in 40 minutes" helps readers; "very good lah" does not.
- Keep it civil. Criticise the casino as hard as the facts allow; do not abuse staff or other reviewers.
One review per casino, edits re-screened
Each account can hold one review per casino. If your experience changes — a withdrawal finally arrives, or a previously good casino stops paying — edit your existing review rather than writing a new one. The edit replaces the original, is marked as edited, and passes through the same automated screen as a new submission; if it trips a rule it waits for a moderator before republishing.
A first review from a new account is held for moderation as standard, usually for less than 24 hours. You will see it on the casino profile with a "Pending moderation — visible only to you" label until it is approved.
What gets held or removed
The automated screen holds reviews for a human when they contain links, @handles or promo codes; when they contain banned terms; when they come from an account under 24 hours old; and when they are an account's first review. Moderators then approve or reject. The following are rejected outright when found, and repeat offenders lose their account.
- Promotional content: referral links, agent contact numbers, promo codes, "DM me for free credit".
- Reviews written by casino staff, agents, affiliates or competitors about their own or rival casinos, disclosed or not.
- Paid, incentivised or exchanged reviews.
- Duplicate reviews — the same text posted again by the same account, or copied from another reviewer.
- Personal information: your own or anyone else's account numbers, phone numbers, full names, ID numbers.
- Threats, harassment, hate speech, or content that is illegal in Malaysia.
- Reviews that are clearly not about the casino (wrong site, general complaints about gambling, off-topic).
What we will not remove
A negative review is not a rule violation. We do not remove reviews because a casino disputes them, because they are one star, because they use strong language about a refused payout, or because other users report them. Reports queue a review for a human to look at; they never hide it automatically, and only reports from logged-in accounts count toward that queue. A casino that wants to respond to a review can claim its profile and reply publicly — the reply is labelled as posted via iamcasino and sits under the review it answers.
Verified reviews and proof notes
When you write a review you can add an optional proof note: a transaction reference, a description of a screenshot you hold, a support ticket number. Moderators may check it and mark your review Verified. The badge shows readers that a human saw evidence of the experience. It never changes the casino's score — Verified has zero weight — and we never grant it automatically or in exchange for anything.
Do not paste the proof itself into the review body. Account numbers and personal data in a public review are removed.
How to report a review
Every review card has a Report control. Choose the reason that fits — looks fake, offensive, spam or advertising, conflict of interest, or something else — and add details if you have them. You can report anonymously, but only reports from logged-in accounts are counted toward the moderation queue, so log in if you want your report to carry weight. Reporting the same review repeatedly does nothing; one report per account per review is recorded.
To appeal a moderation decision on your own review, or to ask about a review that you believe breaks these rules and has not been actioned, write to us from the About page.
For casino operators
You may claim your casino's profile and reply to reviews. You may not write reviews of your own casino or of competitors, ask reviewers to remove or change reviews in exchange for a payout, or offer incentives for positive reviews. If you believe a specific review is fabricated, report it with details; a moderator will look. We do not remove reviews on request, and there is no paid option that changes any of this.
